Core Curriculum

Langley Institute of Ministry offers 11 teaching modules which have been developed by our President and other contributors.

Each Module contains between 7 to 10 topics, as well as a set of questions to be completed by every student to demonstrate an understanding of the teaching material.

Each module and topic has been crafted not simply to impart bible knowledge but to encourage transformation into the image of Christ, to inspire students and leaders with a vision to communicate biblical truth and to make disciples for Jesus (Matthew 28:19-20).

Students who successfully complete all 11, will have progressed through three qualification levels.

Modules 1-3: Fundamental Christian Theology
Student qualifies with Certificate of Theology (C.Th)

Modules 4-5: Interpreting and Communicating the Bible
Student qualifies with Diploma of Theology (Dip.Th)

Modules 6-11: Developing Christian Leader/Practitioners
Student qualifies with Bachelor of Theology (B.Th.) or Bachelor of Ministry (B.Min.), at ordinary level.

As well as between 7 -10 classes within every module there are also eleven sets of questions (one set for each module) to be answered by individual students or within a group. These are not exams, they provide a way to help students revise and think about what they have already learned and how they might put the teaching into practice.

Each of the qualification levels is celebrated with a graduation ceremony.

Langley Institute of Ministry (LIM) has undergone an inspection by the Nations Association for Theological Accreditation (N.A.T.A.) and has met its values and standards; as such it has been granted Membership and Accreditation of N.A.T.A and has been validated to award C.Th, Dip.Th, B.Th, and B.Min Level to suitable students until May 2027.
